Many people have their children baptized in the belief that by doing so they are bringing them into the Christian Church and ensuring their place in heaven.
However, infant baptism is at best a promise made on your behalf. The Bible makes it clear that you alone can make the decision to follow Christ. (Mark 16:16; Romans 10:9). No one else can do it for you, no matter how much they love you.
